Premium format of Hazas anchovies, contains 10 fillets of large caliber anchovies carefully selected and handmade, recovering the ancient canning tradition of Lastres (Asturias).
This product has achieved a historic milestone for the first time in the world: being awarded 3 stars in the Great Taste in 2020 and in 2023 and winner of the Golden Fork for the best imported product in the world in the same year.
Anchoas Hazas works exclusively with anchovies from the Cantabrian Sea caught in spring, thus ensuring the minimum levels of fat in the anchovy to achieve the flavor, smell and unique texture that differentiates its product.
After a meticulous selection of the raw material, the anchovies are cured for 1 to 2 years and then canned in a meticulous process that starts by rubbing the anchovies by hand, one by one, with cold water, and then de-spining them with tweezers to ensure that the meat remains intact and to offer a unique tasting experience.
The anchovies are then placed in top quality olive oil with very little acidity to hydrate them and prevent the transfer of flavors, and immediately canned by hand and packaged with a fishing net woven by the net menders of Lastres, their town of origin.
