Dehesa Dos Hermanas
The Dehesa Dos Hermanas cheese factory, located in the meadows of Huelva, produces one of the best raw sheep's milk cheeses in the world. This is demonstrated by the numerous awards they have received, such as several World Cheese Awards.
Their secret lies in having their own livestock raised and fed with products from the Dos Hermanas meadows throughout their lives, and in the artisanal recipes they use with great care in the production of their cheeses with raw sheep's milk, rennet and salt.
Each cheese matures for a long period in a chamber where the tasks of brushing the mould and oiling the cheeses one by one are carried out completely manually.
This process allows us to enjoy a pressed, hard cheese, very tasty and with a creamy texture, of great quality.
Dehesa Dos Hermanas produces three cheeses:
- Dehesa Dos Hermanas semi-cured cheese: 5 months of curing to offer an intense flavor and a creamy texture.
- Dehesa Dos Hermanas cured cheese: with 9 months of curing, its flavor intensifies and its texture becomes more compact.
- Dehesa Dos Hermanas reserve cheese: with 24 months of curing, it is the most intense of all.
At Casa Ballester you will find these artisan cheeses made from raw sheep's milk that are served vacuum-packed and in a cardboard box, ideal for giving as a gift or for yourself!
